In addition to Heirloom’s baked goods, Local Groundz also serves delicious coffee from Georgia’s first and only 100 percent fair trade, organic specialty coffee importer, roaster and distributer, Café Campesino.  With community, partnership, and people in mind, Cafe Campesino in Americus, GA is the perfect partner.

Direct trade relationships with small-scale farmer families, Local Groundz serves only 100% Fair Trade Organic Coffee. Local Groundz’ global cooperative, Cafe Campesino, is committed to honest trade practices and sustainably-sourced coffee of the very highest quality.

Founded in 1998, Cafe Campesino is Georgia’s first and only 100% fair trade, organic specialty coffee company. They are a cooperative importer, roaster, and wholesaler-distributor located in Americus, Georgia.

Cafe Campesino imports all coffee directly from small landholder coffee farmer cooperatives via a unique, principle-driven supply chain called Cooperative Coffees that we co-founded in 1998. Cooperative Coffees is the only fair trade green bean roaster cooperative of its kind in North America, employing common-sense, respectful, mutually beneficial terms of trade for sourcing organic green coffee fairly, directly, and transparently from farming communities who we have known for years.

Cafe Campesino supplies businesses as well as individuals all over the country with some of the best small-batch-roasted shade grown, specialty-grade arabica coffee available in the USA. As a member of the Fair Trade Federation, Cafe Campesino is a Certified B Specialty Coffee Association. Check out the article below!

“We work to create win-wins across the supply chain. You don’t have to take advantage of people in order to be successful. We would not be able to sustain our business model if our producer partners and customers didn’t also believe in their ability to do good in the world”

Cafe Campesino CEO Tripp Pomeroy
